Live in sustainable student houses while studying at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium

The Green Student Houses

The Green Student Houses are located 1 kilometre from Ikast-Brande Gymnasium.

The residences are newly built, and each house contains three private rooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen/living room area. 

The houses are located very close to the school - just five minutes by bike.

What does a room in our residence cost?

*Please note that a sign-up fee of DKK 3.000 must be paid to secure the room.

Meal plan

Students in our IBG dorm and Green Houses may purchase a meal plan.

  • The meal plan covers lunches and dinners on Mondays to Fridays.
  • The cost of the meal plan is DKK 1300 per month. Students sign up for 2,5 months at a time.

Hot meals can be taken home to be heated up for dinner, or can be eaten for lunch if students prefer to eat the cold meal for dinner.

Students pre-select their weekly meal choices the week before.

Monday:
Pasta al forno with chicken and bread
Salmon meatball with rye bread and carrot raw food salat

Tuesday:
Chicken meatballs with pasta and paprika sauce with raw food
Tomato soup with soup horn and bread

Wednesday: 
Tortilla with beef and salad
Vegetable pie with green salad

Thursday: 
Ham casserole with rice and green salad
Warm fish fillet with rye bread and grated carrot

Friday: 
Crispy chicken with fried potatoes, cold béarnaise mayo and raw food
Pasta salad with tuna, eggs and bread

"At the Green Student Houses, we live three students together in our own house, so it’s very cozy. We each have our own room and a shared kitchen and living room. It gives a great sense of peace and privacy, but you also have to be quite independent and responsible. We have dinner with the students from other houses once a week and sometimes we have movie nights. It’s a very nice place to live and just three minutes from school by bike."

How to apply

If you wish to apply for a room at the Green Student Houses you must fill out the application form:

Application form 2025/26

The student residences will be assigned according to the priority list below: 

  1. Students/ prospective students whose parents reside outside of Denmark.
  2. Students/ prospective students who live at least 20 km from the school.
  3. Students/ prospective students living closer than 20 km from school.

How to get there

The Green Student Houses are located just one kilometer away from Ikast-Brande Gymnasium

You can easily walk to school or bring your bike. There are bike lanes all the way to school.
