IB final exams and graduation reception 2025

Dear parents,

On the day of your child’s last exam, we invite you to celebrate with him or her at school, after the exam has finished. Tradition says that you may place the cap on his/her head and stay around for some snacks & champagne/ alcohol free drink for a little while after the exam.

Any other immediate family is of course also welcome to attend. 

Tables are available in our ‘3g/ 2i area’. Please refrain from the use of confetti. 

Parents may wait outside the boundaries, close to the exam room, for their child to walk out and receive his/her cap. 

On the 22nd of May, we celebrate all IB graduates with a formal reception. We invite all parents and other family members to attend.

The official IB reception is held on Thursday, May the 22nd from 16:00 to 18:00 in Quben at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium.

We realize that some parents might not be able to attend both the cap ceremony and the reception. We encourage you to give priority to the IB reception, which is a significant moment in your child’s IB experience.
